Our ladder lifts are reaching new summits! Safety Hoist company is growing its sales force and expanding its territory again. Jim Held of GTO Marketing LLC has joined the team as the Safety Hoist Sales representative for Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Jim attended University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee. He grew up working construction. In 1983, he started in building material distribution, working his way up to owning his own agency. He focused on roofing and roof systems as well as worker safety. He developed approved continuing education courses on Fall Protection and Attic Ventilation. He served as an Owens Corning territory manager for 8 years, selling foam, insulation, and roofing.
For 20+ years, he has consulted on attic ventilation issues, often solving problems that proved problematic for others. At work, Jim is passionate about worker safety and making sure the roofers get home at night. On the home front, he is passionate about family (married for 39 years to his high school sweetheart, Marlene, who makes a living welding metal sculptures), food, and fishing (a passion for most of his life). He also loves restoring homes, gardening, preserving the food he raises, and growing his own hops so he can brew some really good beer. You might also find him helping his elderly neighbors with tasks they are no longer able to do themselves like home repair and maintenance, gardening, and shoveling snow.
He has been recognized as the Polyglass Agency Of The Year, the PrimeSource Regional Salesman of The Year, the Acro Salesman Of The Year on three separate occasions, and Worksafe Salesman Of The Year four times. He is a member of the Wisconsin Roofing Contractors Association and brings an insider’s knowledge of ladder hoists and best industry practices to our distributors and their clientele.
