Meet Madison – Our Summer Intern!

“Education is the most powerful tool which you can use to change the world” – Nelson Mandela.

Here at Safety Hoist, we believe that education is a huge investment in our future. When we came across the opportunity to be included in a Summer Internship program at West Chester University, we couldn’t pass up the chance to work with a current college student looking to gain some hands-on experience. After one interview, we knew Madison would be the perfect addition to our team.

An upcoming Senior at West Chester University, Madison Baxter became our first ever summer intern. Pursuing a degree in marketing, we believed Madison would be a huge asset to our team- but she exceeded any expectations we previously had.

Madison had been tasked with running our social media channels as well as reporting on analytics. She was also in charge of creating blog content and helping the marketing department with day to day activities. “She went above and beyond in every task she was given” said Beth Long– our Executive Assistant. “She was always impressing us and was a superstar during her time here”.

Beth mentioned that Madison was constantly surprising her with everything she accomplished. “Her organizational skills were very impressive. She handled every project with ease and clearly had awesome time management skills. She brought a creative outlook to everything she had a hand in- it was truly refreshing”.

If you follow our social media channels (and if you don’t- what are you waiting for?!) you’ve likely seen some of Madison’s content. She spent a large majority of her time here evaluating our current marketing expenditures and helping us revamp them. Her eye for detail and creativity really came through on every project she was given.

Aside from her impressive work ethic, Madison brought a fun loving attitude with her to the office every single day. “She made every day light and fun. I have never met someone with her sense of humor- she kept us smiling all day long” Beth explained. “She came in with a positive can-do attitude every single day and it really showed through in her work”.

Madison wrapped up her summer internship on August 9th, just in time to join the rest of the West Chester University Women’s Soccer team for their preseason. While we will miss her exuberant presence in the office everyday, we can’t wait to watch her crush it on the soccer field this year. If you find yourself near West Chester, PA make plans to swing by one of Madison’s games and help us cheer her on!
